We know how challenging finding student housing can be as our 2 children are at the University of Guelph and in rental properties themselves.  As empty nesters, and I being a teacher, it would be wonderful to share our home with a student or students.

Room 2 is a bright and comfortable room with either a single twin bed or a double bed (your choice), dresser and closet.  It is adjacent to the spacious 4 piece bathroom that would be shared with one other student/guest. $550/month

[This room has been rented for 2020 21 School Year]  Room 3 is a cozy basement room (with window) is 11' x 8'6" and contains a double bed, dresser, desk and closet. You would also have your own private 3 piece bathroom across the hall. $500/month

You will need to provide your own bedding and towels.

Laundry facilities are included and are found on the basement level. 

You will have access to the basement family room (with pool table) to use at any time (shared with other students as we use the main floor family room). 

High speed, unlimited internet is also included. 

You would have space in the refridgerator in the house and full access to the kitchen and all it has to offer. We have a dishwasher, for your daily plates, bowls etc, but you should wash pots and pans as you use them. 

Our family home is located steps from a bus stop on the Route 6 Hornell Heights/CFB.  This is a quiet, family friendly neighbourhood.  Non- smoking students only please. As pets already live in this home (2 cats, and on occasion, a very friendly dog), we ask that you do not add any pets to the mix

There are two parking spots.  Parking is permitted on the street as per North Bay city by laws  [from November 1 to April 15 you may not park on the street between 3:00 am and 8:30 am]. You may park on the property during the winter months

A 10 month lease would be preferred, but we are willing to negotiate with the right tenants - perhaps we can work without a lease.  We can certainly talk about this. We can also be flexible about move in and occupancy dates as the rooms are ready and available anytime. Proof of student enrollment at Nipissing University or Canadore College and Tenant insurance is required.
