This sunny, south-facing room on the second floor of a clean, non-smoking home is furnished with a bed, table, desk, bookcase and dresser. The room is 12' x 8' (96 square feet), plus a closet (3'5" wide x 1'6" deep + upper shelf + clothes rack) with a south-facing window (4'3" wide x 3'2" high). Access to shared full kitchen (stove, fridge/freezer, microwave) as well as personal pantry space for dry and canned goods, shared living/dining room, shared 4-piece bathroom (on the second floor), shared 2-piece bathroom (on the main floor), and laundry facilities in the basement.  Off-street parking and/or secure bicycle storage (in the bright blue garage) is also available.  Unlimited high-speed WiFi (Bell Fibe 150 Mbps) is included.

THE LARGER ROOM ($550/month):

This large sunny room on the second floor of a clean, non-smoking home is furnished with a bed, sofa, desk, dresser and wardrobe. The room is 13' x 11'6" (150 square feet), plus a large closet (5'6" wide x 2'3" deep  + upper shelves + clothes rack).  There is also a full length wall mirror, and two windows: one large north-facing window (4'3" wide x 4' high) which overlooks the backyard and one smaller east-facing window (1'9" wide x 3' high) that receives the morning sun. Access to shared full kitchen (stove, fridge/freezer, microwave) as well as personal pantry space for dry and canned goods, shared living/dining room, shared 4-piece bathroom (on the second floor), shared 2-piece bathroom (on the main floor), and laundry facilities in the basement.  Off-street parking and/or secure bicycle storage (in the bright blue garage) is also available.  Unlimited high-speed WiFi (Bell Fibe 150 Mbps) is included.

LOCATION & CONVENIENCES:

The bus stop to catch a direct bus up to the Education Campus (13 minute travel time) is just 300m away (a 3-4 minute walk).  Click here to see the bus route on Google Maps.  Also close by, no more than 10-15 minutes away on foot, you'll find Sobeys (open daily 06:00-24:00), the LCBO, plus various bars and restaurants, among them a local Indian/Pakistani/Chinese/Thai place ("Tandoori Plus"), a local breakfast and burger joint ("Burger World"), a local bar ("The Voyager Tavern"), plus Mr. Sub, KFC, Casey's, Montana's, Harvey's, Swiss Chalet, Little Ceasars and an Irish pub ("The Fox & Fiddle").  Even closer to home, just around the corner (200m away) there is convenience store (open 24/7) which shares the building with Tim Horton's (open daily 05:00-23:00) .  In the other direction, the downtown and the lakefront are a 15-20 minute walk, or 5-10 minutes on the bus.

2017 FALL TERM AVAILABILITY, TERMS & CONDITIONS:

A formal lease is optional, but the fall rental term is typically eight months, from Saturday August 26th, 2017 to Sunday April 29th, 2018, with first and last due Friday September 1st, 2017, and then on the first of each subsequent month.  That said, for anyone who would like to move in early, the larger of the two rooms is available from August 1st, onwards, and could be reserved at any time by deposit.  The smaller room is currently being rented by an Education student entering his second year of the program and will therefore not be available until the spring of 2018.

NOTE:  The option to continue renting for the summer of 2018 is also available.  And to those students enrolled in a multi-year program, we can arrange to keep the room (and your personal belongings) for you again for the following academic year should you desire, even if you're not staying in North Bay over the summer.
